Driving in the wind

Very lazy start this morning with a 10: am start. Not really sure on the layout of this blog. Anyway Breakfast was just a simple bowl of Cornflakes to start the day at 10:30 along with e-Mail checks. However reading recent news maybe I should be on Quater Oaks instead as they are more healthy.

Start of spring clean, the house had not be tidied in a while so I thought it would be a good idea if I gave it a bit of clean while my socks and boxer shorts for the weekend were drying in the tumble drier. Gave the place a hoover with my trusty Dyson hover without the proper head. Then a mop through the hall, where possible. I' m always unsure how much bleach I actually need on the floor, no slippers on so my feet started to sting feet and bleach are a no no no.

Packed the bags together and placed them by the door, did the necessary double checks that all the windows and doors were locked and the gas was off, think its a ritual before I leave the house or its my OCD kicking in, anyway I get out of the house and its pouring it down with rain. I lookforward to the task of driving in this madness. Quite scarily I see the River Thames getting closer to the banks, not good when I need to go over a bridge, safe today but maybe not tomorrow.

Just a note that motorway driving and no window don't really go too well with each other. I found a way of reducing the noise reduction in my car "the trusted IPOD" well it helped me to sing away til my heart is content to a bit of Oasis/The Kooks/Arctic Monkeys.

Managed to get the car to the garage in one piece after a 4-5 hour drive. Anyway got back home had a nice chilli which filled the gap considering there was no lunch in my scheduled busy day.

Watched Grand Designs tonight, quite interesting really. Basically, a couple developed an old old old castle into some magnificant castle with rooms that I would die for. Sorted out a problem with my D-Link router as I had a problem with my D-Link router.

To bed me thinks!

Lazy Day - Business Plan

It has been a lazy day today.

Breakfast (Cereal + Orange) - 8.50 am
Check Emails - 9:00 am

No work due to the fact that the window has gone on my car.

Not a very productive day on the work front, however I have started my business plan in setting up a new business. I found businesslink.gov.uk really useful for information.

I used each of the points to then answer a series of questions which will help me to complete the report.

I understand the point of a business plan so much more for doing one, e.g. looking at finance and also predictions for the year help to see if the business is viable or not.

Lunch (Beans & Bagel) - 1.00 pm


This afternoon, i've had a brain storming session on business names. I think im certain it will be linked to a ficticious name as I can't do Gareth Jones I need something that is not generic, but something that is catching like Fred Perry.

Dinner (Cheesy Beans & Chips) - 8.00 pm

Man Utd vs Reading this evening on BBC 2 cant wait should be interesting to see Man Utd's reserve team.

Also, WAG'S boutique is on, I like the program as it gives a reprentation of being in boutique and the clothing that goes with it.

Back to work, smashed window

Back to work on a Monday. The three hour commute to work was a bit of a nightmare this morning with a few car crashes on the road and lots of traffic, traffic and traffic.

Now get to work, not really much to say really. 1 meeting then work on newsletter all afternoon interesting! !

Left work at 4.30pm then got home early and I put my window down next thing bang glass everywhere handy. This means I now need to purchase a new mechanism for my car and also a new passenger window what a pain.

This means no work tomorrow though :)

The BMW guy is back obviously didnt understand the signs, another note will be left on his car tonight!

The Day of Rest :S

More painting and more painting, but finally got the room finished apart from the wooden floor going in.

Watched the Chelsea Vs Arsenal match, fighting at the end of the match was a bit of a dissapointing end to a top match!

Not looking forward to work tomorrow. Got a 200 mile journey to work tomorrow ! GREAT NEWS!

Managed to crawl out of bed at a modest 12.30 pm (oops).

Anyway, back to what i'm meant to be writing about. Ended up putting a first coat on one wall then watching Man Utd Vs Fulham.

Then out for a meal later, chilled out. Then found out about the Virgin Rail Crash by Lancaster.

Domain Reg & Neighbour from hell

Another late night last night, trying to register a domain name.

This morning woke up late again this week... new alarm clock might be needed I think.

Anyway going to try and make the blog a bit more detailed.

This morning Breakfast with Laptop checking work emails before going to work at 8.00 am.

Left for work to find that the BLACK bmw guy had put the stickies from his car by my door a delightful gentleman you can tell.

Road Rage - worked out that if I drive at 20 mph out from my house I can actually slow the traffic down completely so that I dont have to be in a que later (common sense) but I do annoy people not really bothered though as it saves me petrol before Tony Blair's congestion charge for driving Per Mile, that just isn't going to work lets be honist!

Got to work for 9:30 another exciting day ! not!

Remote Desktop & Neighbour Problems

Yet another exciting day today. Got into the office at 10 this morning after being up until 1.00 am trying to sort out RDP (Remote Desktop Protocal)

So what happened today:

Spent the morning doing usual updates etc.

Another set back on the newsletter, why is it that you have to go through IT support whenever you want anything. Meaning NO pdf writer = no newsletter for deadline oops.

1 phone call today about suppliers who courier goods. The rest of the day was spent on Wikopedia and StartUp.co.uk trying to work out what to do with the rest of my life as I have to get out of here! ! ! !

Left work at 4.30 pm to try and beat the rush. I swear its significantly more busy between 4 pm and 5 pm than it is between 5pm and 6 pm.

I then come home to th e guy who seems to get a kick out of annoying me. For those that dont understand here is the story. The parking spots outside my house are meant for the guests of people to their house. Unfortunately this doesnt happen! ! Now to the rant, some guy in his BLACK BMW decides it would be a good idea to park outside my house as he thinks his car is safe there! ! !

Today I have had enough so I posted some sticky notes on his car asking if he could please not park outside the house. Hopefully he will get the point and not park outside my house again! ! !

I'm sure he will.

Looking at tomorrow:

I'm off back home to the parents house. Looking forward to a weekend of painting (generally helping out). Kind of glad I'm not around really as Money is getting tight at the moment especially with the weekend of shopping last week.

Another day,

Getting very bored of work at the moment. Back to today, was meant to go for a run but got up too late.

Managed to do so much work today, so thats good.

So my diary now is going to be full of what i have to do for the day and ideas which I have during the day. (We'll see how long it lasts!)

Football tonight come on Liverpool! ! (I'm not a Liverpool fan, i just dont want barcelona to go through to the final).As you can see I try to avoid everything! These mediocare things keep me going what a joke! Bring on another day from hell! ! !

Just another day at the office today.

Wasnt in yesterday as decided to have a well deserved break i.e. sick day.

What happened today, came in late as there was so much traffic on the motorway, which was a right pain. Managed to pick up a wireless router from the post office though so I suppose I cannot really complain.

Sorry back to work:

Had one team meeting today, no real contribution but the day went by reasonably quickly. I left early though as want to watch Man Utd and Arsenal later on.

After running this morning at 6.00 am, I feel a new person.

I dont need coffee as a stimulant to wake me up all I need is some water (this does not sound like me).

Just arrived at the office. Batch of emails all junk so can actually start doing what I am meant to do today, lucky considering I left at 2.00 pm yesterday as no one from my team was in the office.

Looking forward to a long weekend break although think I am getting a cold!

Today, seems like its going to a busy day.

Haven't been in the office for the past two days, meaning that I have a bunch of emails to read and sort out. Looking forward to hearing from a client later on this afternoon as could bring good news.

What I have to do:

• Email shops and set them up with pending account.
• Speak with the IT specialist to sort out weekly reports
• Start creating a monthly newsletter to go out to all shops.

Will this get done today? I doubt it!
